Hospital needs to be recognized as RMI (Recognised medical institution) for Oral Narcotic Drugs.
Drugs Control Department sanctions approval to hospitals/ nursing homes as Recognised medical institution for the purpose of possession, sale, import interstate, export interstate, or use of Oral Morphine.
Apply for RMI under Application in Form-IIIA, along with Estimation of annual requirement of Drug in Form III-C and Proforma Invoice of Supplier. Letter stating the reasons for requirement of estimated quantity of drug. Attested photocopy of -
MBBS or equivalent degree certificates of the designated medical practitioner or the over-all in charge
Registration Certificate with Medical Council of the designated medical practitioner or the over-all in charge
Certificate of Training in Palliative Care received from a training centre by the designated medical practitioner or the over-all in charge
Partnership deed in case of firms, Articles of Association and Memorandum of Association in case of companies, bye-laws of societies, trust or other bodies etc.
